The city of Puebla is located 129 km away at the east of Mexico City. Puebla is a colonial city founded in 1531 by the Spaniards, though close are archaeological areas settled by Olmecas-Xicalancas. Puebla is known internationally due its food, colonial and religious architecture, and its history. The historic center of Puebla is considered by UNESCO a World Heritage since 1987.
International Airport "Hermanos Serdán" is located 22 kilometers west of Puebla in Huehotzingo (see the map).
If there are not direct flights to Puebla, the best option is the International Airport of Mexico City. In the international arrivals area you can find the bus service to Puebla by Estrella Roja, we recommend to take the bus to 4 Poniente because is the closer to your Hotel. However if you take the one to CAPU (Puebla's main Bus Station) you can take a taxi to your Hotel with an approximate cost between $35.00 and $50.00 MXP, and this service is considered safe. You can find more information about buses and the Airport here (in Spanish)
